At times, even under the most ideal circumstances, root canal treated teeth may need to be revisited.  In this situation, we need to remove the old root canal filling material and re-clean the canals with special medicaments.  The canals are resealed with new material.  At times, the procedure is followed by the replacement of your crown (if one is present) with a new one when you return to your general dentist.
